Job Summary :

Electrician

Job Requirements :

Purpose

The Electrician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring reliable power supply and compliance with electrical safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, lighting, and distribution systems.
  • Operate and maintain solar PV systems, battery banks, and charge controllers.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot various types of inverters (hybrid, on-grid, off-grid, pure sine wave, etc.).
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot diesel generators and ATS systems.
  • Work with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Conduct electrical load assessments and ensure proper matching of power demand with available resources.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and use of PPE.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Proven experience with solar systems, generators, inverters, UPS systems, and electrical distribution networks.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, load calculations, and power management.

Skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to emergency electrical issues.
